It has been a while since I posted on this blog. Life has been tough & keeping me too busy for all the wrong reasons. Many a day goes by & I just wish I was lost on a tropical island.
I think back on my childhood & realize how simple it truly was. At the time though I was more than willing to grow up & rather quickly at that. If I had only know then what I know now... sigh!
Memory is a funny thing... mere snippets of our life journeys is what we get. Even so I think life without cellphones, voice mail & moronic TV was better. As a child I don't ever remember wanting to choke the phone or kick the TV.
Boldly going where no man has gone before was much more thrilling than watching someone grab their crotch or exposing their breasts. Now days people think their nude bodies are entertaining. The only way that is entertaining is if they are jumping up & down on a pogo stick. Believe you me, in slow motion that's a hoot!
And what's up with profanity? It's pretty bad when you try to watch a movie & every other word is bleeped out. All I can say is... these folks should be glad my Granny isn't still around because she would wash their mouths out with soap &/or throw the Atlanta phone book at them. That's another believe you me item... have yawl seen the Atlanta phone book of late?
If that's not bad enough... what about the so called music. Talk about something that makes you want to reach out & smack someone. A truly annoying, sinister individual invented Hip Hop & Rap. I'm willing to bet there is a smack them line circling the globe! So for those of us in that line I'll speak up & say we do not want to hear let alone feel your music. If you think otherwise you are sorely mistaken! Please go support you local Radio Shack, buy some earphones & keep the volume at a less than deafening level. Hearing aids aren't cheap!!!
Back in the dark ages the only money I worried about was Monopoly. Now I have to worry about the USA's money trees. The folks in Washington should be concerned about the environment or at least their trees. For when the trees are gone so is their imaginary doe. If I tried their route my mailing addy would be the local jail. Folks don't take to kindly to rubber checks ya know. In fact any bank would be glad to charge a hefty amount while it goes bouncing by....
If all that doesn't bother you then your local law enforcers should. Seems they have beefed up their phoney ticket racket in order to support the states. After all, in traffic court they don't have to follow the Constitution. Apparently, innocent until proven guilty or guilty without reasonable doubt is beyond their understanding!
Speaking of laws... how about them safety laws. Don't you think we should have the choice as to whether to be stupid or not? At the least it is called thinning of the herd! As long as you aren't harming anyone else... what the heck do I care. Go for it... Just another excuse for state revenue. After all, someone has to support the lavish lifestyles of those crooks in charge.
Those same crooks who are doing something with the lotto funds. I remind you times are tough,but I have yet to see a shorter lotto line. So where is the money going? Certainly not the school system it was created for. How can maxing out our classrooms, letting teachers & their aides go be best for our children. Our children who are the future of this country. Do we really want them to grow up to be as stupid as the current leaders? Heaven help those of you who grow old & what these kids to take care of you.
Some of you folks will agree others not. If you don't you really should open you eyes & stop being so naive. The sunny side of life has an evil twin. Be cautious & don't let it sneak up on you. For it is up to us to balance things & not let the evil win!
Ramble, ramble, ramble.... that I do so well. My country allows me to do just that or at least until someone thinks I'm a threat. Heaven forbid I should disagree with those in charge!
I'd like to encourage all you women out there to get involved. I think we could make a huge difference if we just banned together. We need more compassion, understanding & better listeners... all of which we women tend to be. Go get 'em gals... I want to see 1 of you as my next Pres!
